Enrollment
Tonight's event will be a full-court tournament. Teams will require at least five players to enroll in the tournament, however, if after playing their first game a team becomes reduced to less than 5 players (eg. as a result of injury), this team may continue to play other games with its remaining players. If this team becomes reduced to less than 2 players then the game which was in progress would end at the current score and the team will no longer be eligible to
compete. Registration fee is $5.00.
Format
The competition will be a Survival type:
First Place ($400.00 ECD): first team to win 7 games total;
Second Place ($200.00 ECD): next team to win 3 or more games;
After a team has won 7 games that team may choose to sit out the rest of the tournament in the event a second place team has not been decided. If two or more teams are tied for second place, goal average will decide the second place.
Scoring
Games will be first to 11 points or most points after 10 minutes running time. Normal FIBA scoring method will be followed. A tie after 10 minutes running time will result in a series of 2 minute overtime periods until a winner is decided.
Fouls
A player will foul out after committing a total of 2 player fouls. Player fouls may be either personal or technical. Fouls in the act of shooting will result in one or more free throws.
Unless otherwise advised, all other FIBA rules will govern the officiating of the tournament.
