SLBF Message

The Opening Ceremony is scheduled to begin at 4 pm at the Vigie Sports Complex on Saturday 28th February 2009. ALL TEAMS MUST ASSEMBLE AT THE COMPLEX BY 3:15 pm. Teams must have a contingent of no less than 10 uniformed players and no less than two team officials. Failure to comply will result in disciplinary action. This is what the programme for the ceremony would look like:
  • Parade of team on court
  • Anthem (Royal St. Lucia Police Band)
  • Prayers
  • Address - St. Lucia Basketball Federation
  • Address - Ministry of Sports
  • Presentation
  • Address - LIME Address
  • Inspection of Teams
  • Players Oath
  • Vote of thanks
  • Matching Off
Unfortunately, the LIME uniforms and balls will not be available until the middle of March. Two polo shirts will be provided for each club for use by the team officials. When viewing the fixtures, teams that appear first and are in bold are the home team the second team is the visiting/away team. Once the LIME uniforms are available, they must be worn by all away/visiting teams. Both LIME shirts must be worn by the away/visiting team officials. The home team must wear their local uniform and their officials are not obligated to wear the LIME shirts.
